On the stove: 1. Bring 1½ cups water and 4 tablespoons butter to a boil in a medium saucepan. 2. Add Stuffing Mix and stir gently. 3. Remove from the heat. Let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork. Microwave: 1. In a microwave safe measuring cup bring 1½ cups water and 4 tablespoons of butter to a boil. 2. Pour over stuffing mix in a medium size bowl. Let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork. In the bird: Size of Bird: 5-8 lbs; 6oz. Pouches: 1; Size of Bird: 8-12 lbs; 6oz. Pouches: 2; Size of Bird: 12-20 lbs; 6oz. Pouches: 3. 1. Prepare stuffing as directed on package with only 1 cup of water. Lightly stuff the bird when ready to cook. Bake as directed on poultry packaging. Stuffing is done when meat thermometer inserted in center of stuffing reaches 165 degrees F. Bake extra stuffing in a separate covered baking dish for the last 30 minutes of baking time.
